TM envisioned the façade as a theatrical scrim—an elaborately patterned veil whose presence shifts through light. When illuminated along its surface, the scrim becomes opaque, rendering the actors behind it invisible. When allowed to fall into darkness, the figures beyond are revealed. TM saw this dialogue as particularly resonant within Miami’s Design District and as a compelling framework through which to engage the magical quality of DS+R’s glass façade.
